Pharmacist Support has appointed two new trustees - Leah Davies and Raj Nutan - as it embarks on a new five-year strategy aimed at expanding its impact and reach.
The charity’s 2025-2030 strategy focuses on enhancing digital innovation and diversifying income streams to ensure long-term sustainability, enabling it to better meet the evolving needs of the pharmacy family while continuing to champion their wellbeing.
A new financial wellbeing resource is due to launch in May to help individuals navigate financial stress and build resilience.
New trustees
Since registering as a pharmacist in 2007, Leah Davies worked in both the industry and hospital sectors before focussing on community pharmacy. Her roles in the community sector have ranged from front line pharmacy management to leading service development and information services teams across Phoenix Medical.
She sits on the national Community Pharmacy Workforce Development Group and has experience of national as well as local pharmacy representative roles within England, Scotland, and Wales. She has completed the Mary Seacole leadership program, a community pharmacy PG diploma, as well as her independent prescribing qualification.
Raj Nutan brings over 28 years of experience in the retail and healthcare sectors, with expertise in commercial operations, strategic planning, and business development in the pharmacy and wholesale sector. He holds an MBA in General and Strategic Management, and as a trained mental health first aider, is dedicated to promoting mental health and wellbeing in the workplace.
Karen Harrowing stepped down in December as a trustee.
Esther Sadler-Williams, chair of Pharmacist Support, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Leah and Raj to our Board of Trustees at such a pivotal time for Pharmacist Support. Their extensive expertise and shared commitment to driving meaningful change will be invaluable as we implement our new five-year strategy.”
