The shift booking platform for locum pharmacists Locate a Locum has launched a £5,000 scholarship fund for five students in the final year of their pharmacy degree.
The scheme, which is now open, offers each student £1,000 to support their education in 2024-25. The deadline for scholarship fund applications is October 3.
Locate a Locum said students must be enrolled in a UK pharmacy school that is General Pharmaceutical Council-accredited “and demonstrate academic excellence and commitment to their future pharmacy careers.”
Locate a Locum also said students who secure the fund will be given access to CPD-accredited learning “and the chance to connect with industry leaders and become brand ambassadors to promote best practice to others.”
Locate a Locum’s founder and chief executive officer Jonathon Clarke (pictured), said the fund was evidence of its “commitment to driving best practice across the sector and supporting talented students right across the UK.”
“(The fund) helps in building a pathway for some of the sector’s most ambitious students to advance their studies with ease, expand their connections and experiences and ensure they excel," he said.
Locate a Locum says it represents over 30 pharmacy organisations in 8,000 locations in the UK and a platform that has over 44,000 registered locum pharmacists.
